How To Begin A Grief Ministry


For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, "Do not fear, I will help you." Isaiah 41:13


To begin a Walking the Mourner's Path® ministry at your church or facility:
  • Identify at least two persons to become certified Walking the Mourner's Path workshop facilitators. Individuals who display a deep spiritual depth, have strong leadership skills and have a history of pastoral care are excellent candidates for this training.
  • Talk with your clergy person responsible for Pastoral Care and have them become part of your team
  • Begin identifying individuals who will benefit from the eight-week workshops
  • Promote the program to your faith community and to the community beyond your campus. Walking the Mourner's Path is an excellent outreach program.
  • Review the Facilitator Training School schedule and register for an upcoming school
  • Pray
