A Program to Minister to Those in Grief ~ Faith Based ~ Support and Training
The ministry of Walking the Mourner’s Path is featured in
an article published by on the Episcopal Dioceses of Arizona.

People join the workshops in the throes of grief and gradually, sometimes,
suddenly begin to emerge from the fog. I have seen participants in the midst of
terrible pain begin to glow with hope, of which they are often unaware, until much
later. Participants begin to emerge from a sense of isolation and form new
relationships; in some instances reconnect to their faith.
Walking the Mourner’s Path program has had a positive effect on the Cathedral;
increased the acceptance of the need to actively work on one’s grief and
expanded our approach to services to people in bereavement. Anita Pernell-
